Key Concepts of UMC

    1. At our core value, we hold an expansive view of the grace of God.

Our United Methodist theology is based in grace,
       - the prove grace, and
       - justifying grace and
       - sanctifying grace, and
       - perfecting grace

And that's why the doors are wide open in United Methodist churches to everyone.
Why our communion table is an open,

Jesus's disciples were constantly trying to keep him from encountering some of those outsiders and outcast....

All the while Jesus stood with outsiders - whomever they may be

Methodist follow Jesus's example of allying with outsiders - the very incarnation of God's gracious love.

    2. Wesleyan vision of a diverse community of One Heart

"Though we cannot think alike, may we not love alike?
May we not be of one heart, though we are not of one opinion? "

We honor one another despite our differences and work together for the purposes of Christ,
We keep our focus on the Cross, the main thing.

We have always been kneeling/working  side by side others - communion, singing or service projects regardless of our theological or political beliefs.

    3. Faith in the immense power in belonging to a connectional church,

hundreds and thousands of other churches interwoven responding on a massive space across our Texas community: Hurricane Harvey, Maui,  their lives.

      Individual churches can't do that.

    4. Our Doctrines have not changed

      1. The articles of religion of the United Methodist Church remain the same and are core beliefs.
      2. the centrality of scripture,
      3. the belief in the Trinity Father, son, and Holy Spirit
      4. Applies to ALL: pastors and laity alike
      5. Confessing their, that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior.
      6. All of these remain the same, and it's a misconception to believe otherwise.

    5. UMC Celebrates our Traditions

      1. It is misconception that conservatives will be punished or weaken within the UMC
      2. Our leaders (Bishops, Superintendents and pastors) have been intentional to welcome and seek diverse views.
      3. everyone is welcome and can express their ministry in their own way.
